Visalia Emergency Aid Council Launches new Website with help of COS GiantsVisalia Emergency Aid Council, with the help of the COS Giants football team and Cheerleaders, launches its new website intended to educate and inform the public on the areas of poverty and more importantly, how to help alleviate its results on less fortunate families with children and our elders living in poverty. The new www.veac.org is due to launch on Tuesday, July 29.
VEAC’s new website features an entire area to the "Race Against Hunger 2008" on Thanksgiving morning. The site has the new race route maps and allows the convenience of online pre-registration, the opportunity to become a sponsor of the race or a monthly donor to VEAC.The College of the Sequoias new Athletic Director, Lamel Harris, has made a commitment not only to coach the Giants and grow an excellent Athletic Department, but Lamel says, "I believe it’s important to raise the Giants into young men and women of substance and community conscientiousness." The COS Giants came by the dozen to volunteer their time and energy to help promote Visalia Emergency Aid Council’s Vehicle Donation Program and the launching of its new Website. Your donation is tax deductible while proceeds go toward helping needy families with children as well as elderly persons currently living in poverty.
