Mitigating Hardship Through Financial Literacy Citibank provides a grant for a VEAC Financial Literacy Program that teaches families the basic financial household skills to help manage their budgets successfully with a long term goal of becoming a first time home buyer. Over 400 families in the past 2 years have received one-on-one training to learn basic financial skills, such as establishing a household budget, eliminating wasteful bills, or balancing a checkbook.
