Visalia Emergency Aid STAFF 

Liz Wynn, Executive Director

Liz joined Visalia Emergency Aid Council in 2014 after two decades of leadership in non-profit organizations. She is a Visalia native, graduate of Fresno Pacific University and serves on the Visalia Planning Commission and Rotary of Visalia Board.

Liz has a heart for children and believes every child deserves decent food, clothing and shelter to thrive. She has studied the educational impacts of poverty on children and is committed to making a difference in the lives of children. Calling on her experience and leadership skills, Liz continues to guide VEAC toward continued growth and impactful service to families in need.

Mary Jane Jennings, Office Manager

Mary joined VEAC in 2002 as accountant and office manager. She has successfully maintained the budgets of numerous VEAC projects and is adept at time and resource management. Mary is responsible for all aspects of financial accountability and oversight. Donors and sponsors can be assured they will realize the greatest yield for each funding dollar received by VEAC.

Iris East, Development Director

Iris has been a dedicated VEAC community fundraiser since 2007 and brings over 12 years of philanthropic experience to VEAC. Under her supervision, the annual “Race Against Hunger” has grown into the largest 5k race in the central San Joaquin Valley. Iris works tirelessly recruiting and coordinating hundreds of volunteers each year to manage the Race Against Hunger, along with toy and food basket distributions to thousands of children during the holidays, while raising public awareness of hunger and poverty in Tulare County.

Chris Castenada, Thrift Store manager

Chris brings over a decade of retail management experience to VEAC. A valley native, Chris is committed to our community and providing a great shopping experience for our customers. His years in management and organizational development have resulted in a total renovation of the thrift store pricing and processing structure. The VEAC Thrift Store is a staple in our community and is full of fresh and exciting product every day!

Omar Godoy, Pantry Manager

Omar joined VEAC in 2015 after an internship with the Tulare County Board of Supervisors. Omar’s exposure to economic and social issues for low-income families in Tulare County sparked an interest in social service work . A Visalia native, Omar offers a fresh perspective to the organization and is working on developing leadership skills through the Tulare-Kings Hispanic Chamber Leadership Group. His strong work ethic has moved him to the position of pantry manager. Omar is bilingual and treats each family we serve with respect and dignity.
